- This peaceful, remote setting is the perfect place to recharge the batteries. Along a stone track you'll find our Hut just a field away from the quarry, and situated in it's own fenced off gravel area. Breathtaking views to the Brecon Beacons and across the Radnorshire hills.
- Your only neighbours are the red kites, rabbits, sheep and cattle that live on the hills ​
- Be a geologist for a day and hunt fossils after breakfast. Upper Gilwern Quarry is a site long known for it's preserved and complete range of fossils. One of the most common is a Trilobite from the Ordovician era (around 480 million years ago), and is called Oxyginus Corndensis.
